Aarudhra Darisanam Festival Celebrated Grandly at Perur Temple
Aarudhra Darisanam was celebrated with devotion at the Perur Patteeswarar Temple in Coimbatore, with special poojas, Maha Abhishekam and a grand procession of Lord Natarajar, drawing large numbers of devotees.
The famous Perur Patteeswarar Temple in Coimbatore celebrated the auspicious Aarudhra Darisanam with devotion and grandeur as part of the ten-day Margazhi Thiruvathirai festival.
The festival began on December 24 with Kaappu Kattudhal (flagting / protection ritual). Throughout the ten days, the temple witnessed daily special Nadaswaram performances, Thiruvempavai chanting in the morning and evening, and Veda parayanam by scholars.
In accordance with the temple’s sacred legends, devotees had the divine blessing of witnessing Sri Gnanamaya Natarajar’s Thiruvathirai festival and the holy Ananda Thandava Darisanam.

Early this morning, at 3:30 a.m., special poojas were performed for Patteeswarar, Pachainayagi Amman and other deities.
Later, special abhishekam and poojas were offered to Natarajar and Ambal.
At 4:30 a.m., the Maha Abhishekam was performed, followed by Maha Deeparathanai at 7:45 a.m., marking the sacred Aarudhra Darisanam.
The celebration concluded with a grand street procession around the temple streets, accompanied by traditional music, during which large numbers of devotees participated and received blessings.
