Pongal Special Bus Services: Karur & Trichy Buses to Operate from Sulur
Pongal special buses in Coimbatore from Jan 13–15. Karur and Trichy buses will depart from Sulur, while other routes operate from Singanallur, Gandhipuram and Mettupalayam Road bus stands.

To facilitate smooth travel during the Pongal festival, the State Transport Corporation has announced special bus arrangements in Coimbatore from January 13 to 15. Along with regular services, additional buses will be operated to various destinations across Tamil Nadu.
To avoid traffic congestion within the city, buses bound for Karur and Trichy will depart from the Sulur Bus Stand during this period.
According to an official press release from the State Transport Corporation (Coimbatore):

Buses to Karur and Trichy will operate from Sulur Bus Stand

Buses to Madurai, Theni, Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli will depart from Singanallur Bus Stand

Buses to Salem, Tiruppur, Erode, Mettupalayam, Sathyamangalam and Avinashi will operate from Gandhipuram Bus Stand

Buses to Ooty, Coonoor, Kotagiri and Gudalur will depart from the New Bus Stand on Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore
These arrangements aim to ensure smooth and safe travel for passengers during the festive rush.
