₹3,000 Pongal Gift for All Ration Cardholders: CM Stalin Announces
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has announced that a cash gift of ₹3,000 will be provided to all ration card–holding families in the State as part of the Pongal festival celebrations.

According to the announcement, around 2.23 crore families — including Sri Lankan Tamil refugees living in rehabilitation camps — will benefit from the scheme. The Chief Minister has also instructed officials to ensure that the cash is distributed before the Pongal festival, so families can celebrate without financial burden.
