Extensive security arrangements have been put in place at the Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit.
Police have deployed a large number of personnel in and around the temple premises to ensure safety. In addition, signal-jamming devices have been installed around the temple to block mobile phone signals as a precautionary security measure.
Devotees are being allowed entry only after thorough security screening. Authorities have intensified surveillance and are conducting strict inspections to prevent any untoward incidents during the Prime Minister’s visit.
