Indian cricketer MS Dhoni has been directed by the Madras High Court to pay ₹10 lakh towards transcription charges in connection with his ongoing defamation case.
Dhoni had filed a ₹100 crore defamation suit against a television company, alleging that false and defamatory statements were made against him regarding IPL betting allegations.
During the hearing, the court ordered Dhoni’s side to pay the amount required for converting the TV debate recording into a written transcript, which will be used as part of the legal proceedings.
