PSG Tech Hosts “The Confluence 2026” Research, Innovation and Technology Summit
PSG College of Technology organized “The Confluence 2026” summit featuring Amitabh Kant, focusing on innovation, research, AI, and technology for India’s future growth.
PSG College of Technology, under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council, hosted “The Confluence 2026”, a Research, Innovation and Technology Summit, on 7 February 2026 at the Centenary Auditorium, PSG Tech.
Shri Amitabh Kant, IAS (Retd.) Former-G20 Sherpa (India) and Former CEO of NITI Aayog, graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest. Shri R Kumaravelu, Managing Director, AQUA Group, and PSG Tech Alumnus, served as the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Shri Amitabh Kant highlighted the country’s emergence as one of the world’s leading economies and noted that advanced technologies and ethical use of AI would be central to achieving India’s 30 trillion dollar economy vision by 2047, underscoring the role of innovation-driven institutions like PSG College of Technology in long-term economic growth.
Shri R Kumaravelu appreciated the institution’s commitment to inclusivity in engineering education and highlighted the role of research, innovation and Artificial Intelligence in addressing global challenges and driving industrial growth.
Presiding over the programme, Dr K Prakasan, Principal, PSG Tech, felicitated both dignitaries with mementoes.
The summit featured panel discussions, keynote address, hands-on workshops, idea pitching sessions, poster presentations and an innovators’ exhibit.
