Cyber Security Awareness at Sankara College

The Department of Glimpses Computer Science (PG) of Sankara College of Science and Commerce organised an Expert Talk titled “Think Before You Click” on Tuesday, 10 February 2026 at Dhanam Hall in college premises. Mr.S.N.Ravichandran, Techno Legal Consultant and Cyber Crime Investigator was the invited expert. 

The session focused on building strong cyber awareness, helping students understand online threats, safe browsing practices, data privacy, and responsible digital behavior. Through his expert insights and drawing from real-time examples, Mr Ravichandran impressed upon the participants both the needs and means to being smarter and safer netizens. He reinforced the need for citizens to be equipped to stay alert, informed, and protected in an increasingly digital and increasingly vulnerable world. He also requested the students to take the message of cyber security to their near and dear and ensure a movement of citizens who use digital services but all the same aware of cyber hazards. The wisdom of Mr Ravichandran and his well structured talk that engaged the audience was well received by the students.

The programme was organised under the guidance and motivation of Dr.V.Radhika, Principal, Sankara College of Science and Commerce and Shri T.P.Ramachandran, Secretary, Sankara Educational Institutions.
