The Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has withdrawn the list of 72 leaders who were appointed as constituency in-charges for all 234 Assembly seats, according to party sources.
The decision reportedly comes after complaints that the appointments were made without proper consultation with senior leaders, including Annamalai. Party insiders said the move was taken to avoid internal disagreements and to ensure a more inclusive and coordinated approach to election preparations.
The BJP is now expected to hold fresh discussions with its senior leadership before releasing a revised list of constituency in-charges as part of its strategy for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
