Special Trains Announced to Tiruvannamalai for Maha Shivaratri
Southern Railway has announced special trains from Villupuram to Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, and Katpadi on February 15 and 16 to manage the rush of devotees during Maha Shivaratri.
In view of Maha Shivaratri, Southern Railway will operate special trains from Villupuram to Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, and Katpadi on February 15 and 16 to facilitate devotees and avoid overcrowding.
According to a press release issued by R. Vinoth, Public Relations Officer of the Tiruchirappalli Division of Southern Railway, the special trains are being introduced to manage the increased passenger movement during the festival.
Villupuram – Tiruvannamalai Special Trains
The unreserved special train (No. 06130) will depart from Villupuram at 10:10 AM on February 15 and 16 and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11:45 AM the same day.
In the return direction, the Tiruvannamalai – Villupuram unreserved special train (No. 06129) will depart at 12:40 PM and arrive at Villupuram at 2:15 PM.
These trains will stop at Venkatesapuram, Mambalapattu, Ayandur, Tirukovilur, Adhichanur, Andampallam, and Thandarai stations.
Special Train to Vellore
The Villupuram – Vellore Cantonment unreserved special train (No. 06167) will depart from Villupuram at 10:40 PM on February 14 and 15 and reach Vellore Cantonment at 1:45 AM the next day.
In the return direction, the Vellore Cantonment – Villupuram special train (No. 06168) will depart at 2:05 AM on February 15 and 16 and arrive at Villupuram at 5:00 AM.
These trains will halt at Venkatesapuram, Mambalapattu, Ayandur, Tirukovilur, Adhichanur, Andampallam, Thandarai, Tiruvannamalai, Polur, Arni Road, Setharampattu, Onnupuram, and Kannamangalam stations.
Southern Railway has advised passengers to make use of these special train services for a smooth and comfortable journey during Maha Shivaratri.
