Another Low-Pressure Area Likely Over Bay of Bengal: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that another low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal.

Earlier, a low-pressure area formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal on February 16. It has since moved west-northwest and continues to remain over the same region, according to the IMD.

Meanwhile, due to an upper-air cyclonic circulation prevailing over the Indian Ocean and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal, a fresh low-pressure area is expected to develop within the next 24 hours. The system is likely to move in a west-northwest direction, the IMD added.
