ED Conducts Searches at 21 Locations in Sabarimala Gold Cover Case
The Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at 21 locations across Kerala, Bengaluru, and Chennai in connection with the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple gold cover case, probing alleged financial irregularities.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday carried out extensive searches at 21 locations in connection with the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple gold cover case.
The raids were conducted at premises linked to a private gold-plating company, including locations in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Ambattur in Chennai. The investigation is related to alleged financial irregularities and violations connected to the gold cover (Thanga Kavasam) used at the Sabarimala temple.
According to sources, ED officials are examining financial records, transactions, and documents as part of the probe. The searches are aimed at uncovering possible money laundering and misuse of funds related to the temple’s gold ornaments.
