Former BJP state president K. Annamalai has stated that the reported divorce case involving actor Vijay and his wife Sangeetha should not be turned into a political issue.
Responding to questions from journalists, Annamalai clarified that the matter concerns Vijay, his wife, and the court, and therefore should be treated as a personal and legal issue rather than a political controversy.
He emphasized that personal matters of public figures should not be politicised, urging restraint from both political parties and the media.
The statement comes amid public discussion surrounding the reported legal proceedings, with Annamalai reiterating that such issues must remain within the legal framework and not be used for political mileage.
