Gold Price Rises ₹800 per Sovereign in Tamil Nadu; Silver Also Sees Increase

Gold prices in Tamil Nadu rose by ₹800 per sovereign on Tuesday to reach ₹1,20,400, while silver prices also increased amid changes in global market trends.

The price of jewellery gold in Tamil Nadu increased by ₹800 per sovereign on Tuesday, with the rate reaching ₹1,20,400 per sovereign.

Over the past week, gold prices in Tamil Nadu had fallen significantly, dropping by ₹6,450 per sovereign. The decline continued on Monday as well.

On Monday, gold prices fell by ₹100 per gram, bringing the rate down to ₹14,950 per gram, while the price per sovereign dropped by ₹800 to ₹1,19,600.

However, on Tuesday (March 10), gold prices rebounded. The rate of gold rose to ₹15,050 per gram, while the price per sovereign increased by ₹800 to reach ₹1,20,400.

Silver prices also witnessed an increase. The price of silver rose by ₹10 per gram, reaching ₹300 per gram, while one kilogram of silver is currently priced at around ₹3,00,000.

Market experts say that fluctuations in global crude oil investments and the strengthening of the US dollar had earlier pushed gold prices downward. However, the market saw a slight recovery in gold prices today.
