Gold Prices Surge ₹2,080 Per Sovereign, Selling at ₹1,17,440
Gold prices jumped sharply by ₹2,080 per sovereign on Saturday, reaching ₹1,17,440. Silver prices also increased, with market rates showing continued volatility this week.
The price of ornamental gold surged by ₹2,080 per sovereign on Saturday, with one sovereign now being sold at ₹1,17,440.
Gold prices have been fluctuating since the beginning of this week. Between February 16 and 18, the price dropped by ₹2,640 per sovereign, reaching ₹1,13,840 on Wednesday. On Thursday, the price rose by ₹2,160 to ₹1,16,000, but fell again by ₹640 on Friday to ₹1,15,360.
However, on Saturday, gold recorded a sharp single-day increase of ₹2,080 per sovereign.
Accordingly, the price per gram increased by ₹260 to ₹14,680, while the price per sovereign rose to ₹1,17,440.
Similarly, silver prices also increased, rising by ₹20 per gram to ₹290. The price of one kilogram of silver is now ₹2.90 lakh.
The bullion market continues to witness volatility, with prices fluctuating based on global trends and market conditions.
