Hotels Shift to Firewood and Electric Stoves Amid LPG Shortage
Many hotels are switching to firewood and electric stoves as shortages of commercial and domestic LPG cylinders emerge due to the Iran–Israel–US conflict.
Several hotels and restaurants have begun switching to firewood and electric stoves due to the shortage of LPG cooking gas cylinders.
The shortage has been linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, which has affected the supply of crude oil and natural gas in global markets.
As a result, there has been a significant shortage not only of commercial LPG cylinders used by hotels but also domestic LPG cylinders used in households.
Due to the limited availability of gas cylinders, many hotels have started using traditional firewood stoves and electric cooking equipment to continue their daily operations.
Hotel owners have expressed concern that the gas shortage could increase operational costs and affect food preparation if the situation continues for a longer period.
The shift to alternative cooking methods reflects the broader impact of global energy disruptions on local businesses and food services.
