Tamil Nadu’s Final Voter List Released: Total Electors Stand at 5.67 Crore

Tamil Nadu has a total of 5,67,07,380 voters, according to Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik. The final electoral roll, prepared after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), was released on Monday (February 23).

A total of 74,07,207 names were removed during the revision process.
As of October 27, Tamil Nadu had approximately 6.41 crore voters. After the Special Intensive Revision, the draft electoral roll was reduced to 5.43 crore voters, with about 97.37 lakh names deleted.
Following the publication of the draft list, the public was given an opportunity from December 19 to February 10 to apply for additions, corrections, or deletions. During this period, 27,53,796 voters were added through Form 6 applications.
