The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology,
in association with Cyber Club and IIPC (Industry Institute Partnership Cell) organised a Guest Lecture titled "Navigating AI-Driven Cybersecurity Careers in a Connected World” on Thursday, 05 February 2026 from 02.00 PM to 04.00 PM at Conference Hall of the institution.
Dr. Sivaraman Eswaran, Associate Professor & Programme Coordinator – Computing (Cybersecurity)
Curtin University, Malaysia served as the resource person and delivered a meaningful and memorable lecture. Dr Sivaraman began by emphasising that role of Artificial Intelligence in Cyber security. He emphasised that experts and AI needed to work together to ensure prevention and recovery from data threats. He outlined the major cyber attacks and explained how cyber security and artificial intelligence can effectively build an impregnable shield. He went on to explain the global insights into AI-powered cybersecurity. He lucidly explained the emerging industry trends and predicted future career pathways in this field., He patiently answered the questions from the students on various nuances of AI powered cyber security.
