EFFECTIVE PUBLIC SPEAKING Programme for JCI Members

JCI Coimbatore Metropolis organised the Coimbatore District Level Effective Public Speaking (EPS) training programme at Hotel Apple Park, Ramnagar, Coimbatore on 07 February 2026 and 08 February 2026. Effective Public Speaking (EPS) is a signature two day intensive training event of JCI India wherein JCI members are trained to become better speakers. It is also the starting point in the journey of JCI members to transform themselves into trainers. It is to be noted on the same two days,a total of 222 participants underwent training at Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Nilgiris districts. 

JFM Dr.K.A.Agalya, JCI India Author and a well known trainer in Junior Chamber International served as the Pilot Faculty while Jc.Dr.Bhavana, JFM Subash Krishna and Jc.Jayanthi served as members of co-faculty. 

JFM S.Jeeva, Zone Director - Business, Zone XVII, JCI India was the Chief Guest for the inaugural programme at 9 AM on Saturday, 07 February 2026. In his inaugural address, he emphasised that EPS was the foundation for any young leader or entrepreuner. He recollected his own transformation after attending EPS and wished the participants the very best. 

The two day training programme involved a host of input and output sessions related to various nuances of public speaking from content preparation, content delivery, body language, stage fear, audience engagement etc. The Pilot Faculty JFM Dr Agalya designed and presented the curriculum in a wholesome manner and was able to ensure transformation in participants with the help of her team of co faculty members. The participants vouched for the immense benefits and transformative experience of the programme. The well planned and delivered workshop not only helped them gain valuable insights but also enabled them to test their public speaking skills.

The participants were buoyed by the visit of JCI M. PPP Premsharan, Zone President, Zone XVII, JCI India. He gave a pep talk to the participants highlighting the importance of EPS in JCI in specific and in life in general 

The event concluded with the valediction programme held at 6 PM on Sunday, 08 February 2026. In the Valediction programme, the faculty members summarized the training programme and presented key observations for the participants. The participants also presented their feedback and showcased their transformation as confident speakers in the Valediction. 

Jc.Jesco Mohammed, District Coordinator, Coimbatore, Zone XVII, JCI India was the Chairperson and ensured flawless arrangements alongwith Jc.Siva Prasath, President, JCI Coimbatore Metropolis. They were well guided by JCI Sen.K.Manikandan, Zone Director - Training, Zone XVII, JCI India. A total of 35 members from 9 different JCI Local Organisations namely JCI Coimbatore Cosmo, JCI Coimbatore Indcity, JCI Coimbatore Metropolis, JCI Coimbatore Zenith, JCI Coimbatore Classic, JCI Saravanampatti, JCI Sulur, JCI Gudalur and JCI Gobi took part in the two day event. Jc.Jesco Mohammed thanked the faculty, participants and volunteers for ensuring a flawless and fabulous event that was both meaningful and memorable.
