According to official confirmation from Saudi authorities, the drone strike caused significant damage to the embassy building and nearby structures. However, no injuries were reported in the incident.
The development comes amid intensified hostilities following joint military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran over its nuclear policy. Reports indicate that several high-profile Iranian leaders were killed in earlier strikes, further escalating the conflict.
In retaliation, Iran has reportedly launched missile and drone attacks targeting locations in Gulf nations perceived to be supporting the United States, including parts of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry confirmed in an official statement posted on social media that two drones struck the US Embassy compound in Riyadh, triggering a fire. Authorities clarified that there were no casualties.
