The ICC has revealed the 12 teams that have qualified for the 2028 T20 World Cup, with New Zealand and Australia earning automatic entry as hosts.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the 12 teams that have qualified for the T20 World Cup 2028.

According to the ICC, the teams that reached the Super 8 stage in the 2026 T20 World Cup have secured automatic qualification for the next edition of the tournament.

As hosts of the 2028 T20 World Cup, New Zealand and Australia have also qualified directly.

In addition, Ireland, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan secured their spots based on ICC rankings. The ICC further stated that the remaining eight places will be filled through a qualification process involving 20 teams.
