Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown hosted the Midtown F3 Mania 5-a-side football tournament at Blaze Arena to raise funds for Project Walk Again, supporting free artificial limbs for the needy.

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown organized “Midtown F3 Mania,” a 5-a-side football tournament, at Blaze Arena, Pappampatti Pirivu, Coimbatore, on February 1, 2026, bringing together sports, fellowship, and social service for a meaningful cause.

The annual tournament was held to raise funds for Project Walk Again, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown that provides free artificial limbs to people in need. The event’s title, F3 Mania, symbolizing fun, frolic, and football, was reflected in the lively and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day.

A total of 16 Rotary Clubs from Rotary International District 3206, covering Coimbatore and Palakkad, participated in the friendly competition. The tournament highlighted the spirit of togetherness and service that Rotary promotes. Rotary Club of Palghat East emerged as the winners, while Rotary Club of Coimbatore North finished as the runners-up.

The tournament was inaugurated by Rtn. Leema Rose Martin, Assistant Governor, RI District 3206. The prizes were distributed during the valedictory function by Rtn. Chella K. Raghavendran, District Governor, RI District 3206, and Rtn. S. Muthuraman, Managing Director, Lakshmi Ceramics.

Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. M. Sendil Kumar, Project Chairperson, подчеркнул (highlighted) that the tournament embodied Rotary’s twin values of service and fellowship. He said, “The fellowship of Rotarians over football enables us to do yeoman service. The event begins with Rotarians kicking a ball and having fun, and culminates in a needy person receiving an artificial limb and a renewed approach to life.”

The event was successfully coordinated by Rtn. M. Hari Bhaskar, President, Rtn. Regith, Secretary, and Rtn. Shekar Halan, Event Secretary, of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown, who ensured smooth arrangements and a memorable experience for all participants.
