England Dominate Sri Lanka in Home ODI and T20 Encounters
England defeated Sri Lanka at home by winning both the ODI series 2–1 and the T20 series 2–0, boosting confidence ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
The England cricket team, led by Harry Brook, delivered a major blow to Sri Lanka on their home soil by winning both the One Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) series, just days before the start of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
In the three-match ODI series, England emerged victorious with a 2–1 result. They followed it up with a dominant performance in the T20 series, sealing the series 2–0 after winning the first two matches.
England clinched the first T20 by 11 runs, and continued their strong form in the second match with another commanding display to secure the series with one game to spare. The results left Sri Lanka facing disappointment on home turf, with only the third and final T20 match remaining to be played.
With just four days left for the 2026 T20 World Cup to begin, England’s back-to-back series victories have boosted their confidence, while Sri Lanka will be looking to bounce back in the final match and regain momentum ahead of the global tournament.
The third T20 match between the two sides is scheduled to be played tomorrow, concluding the series.
