At least 15 people were killed after a Colombian government aircraft crashed and caught fire shortly after taking off from Cúcuta, a city near the Colombia–Venezuela border, on its way to Ocaña.

According to officials, the victims include 13 passengers and two pilots. Among those who lost their lives was a member of the Colombian Parliament (MP). Emergency services rushed to the crash site as authorities launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
