India created history by winning the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup for a record sixth time, defeating England Under-19 cricket team in the final held at Harare Sports Club today.

After winning the toss, the India Under-19 cricket team chose to bat first and delivered a dominant batting performance. India posted a massive 411 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Star batter Suryavanshi played a sensational innings, scoring 175 runs off just 80 balls, smashing 15 fours and 15 sixes.

For England, James Minto picked up three wickets, while Sebastian Morgan and Alex Green claimed two wickets each, and Lumsden took one.

Chasing a daunting target of 412 runs, England struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs. Caleb Matthew Faulkner fought hard with a brilliant 115 off 67 balls, but it was not enough to stop India’s march to victory.

Indian bowlers delivered a strong performance, with Ambrish taking 3 wickets, while Kanishk Chauhan and Deepesh Devendran picked up two wickets each, sealing a comprehensive 100-run victory for India.

With this triumph, India lifted the U-19 World Cup trophy for the sixth time, reaffirming their dominance in world youth cricket.
