Deadline Extended for Inclusion of Names in Voter List
The Election Commission of India has extended the deadline for adding names to the voter list under the Special Intensive Revision process until January 30, allowing more eligible citizens to enroll.
The Election Commission of India has announced an extension of the deadline for adding names to the voter list as part of the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR).
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of the electoral roll, which began on November 4, is currently underway across the country. In this regard, the Election Commission has extended the time limit for eligible citizens to enroll their names in the voter list until January 30.
Election officials stated that the extension has been granted to ensure maximum participation and to provide sufficient opportunity for eligible voters who are yet to register. Citizens have been urged to utilize the extended deadline to complete the voter enrollment process and ensure their names are included in the electoral rolls.
