CDCA celebrates 67th Annual Day
Coimbatore District Cricket Association
The 67th Annual Day of Coimbatore District Cricket Association (CDCA) was organised in a wonderful manner from 05.30 PM to 07.00 PM at SNR Auditorium, Coimbatore on Tuesday, 20 January 2026. Mr.T.J.Srinivasaraj, President, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) and Mr.U.Bhagwandas Rao, Honorary Secretary, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) were the guests for this memorable event which was attended by more than 400 cricket players and cricket lovers.
Mr.D.Lakshminarayanaswamy, President, CDCA welcomed the gathering and gave away the Presidential Address. In his presidential address, he commended the achievements made by the district teams and the progression by Coimbatore players to state and national levels. He sought the support of all stakeholders in ensuring that CDCA keeps achieving greater heights.
Mr.T.J.Srinivasaraj, President, TNCA mentioned that CDCA is one of the best run district organisations and commended the district leadership for their vision and action. He also applauded CDCA for championing new initiatives such as the 100 ball tournament with a whooping prize money. He requested the cricketers to adapt to the white ball formats but also ensure participation in the red ball formats which would ensure their evolution as a cricketer and a person. He mentioned that TNCA is taking a lot of efforts to promote women's cricket and requested CDCA to take the lead. He also announced the launch of Womens Cricket League in Coimbatore. He generously mentioned that he would sponsor the trophy as Freyer Cup, the same name in which it is being held in Chennai and Thiruvallur.
Mr.U.Bhagwandas Rao, Honorary Secretary, TNCA had some good words for CDCA. He appreciated the composed yet dynamic leadership of CDCA and wished the association all success for the past season. He also expressed confidence that CDCA will keep emerging stronger with each season.
The Chief Guests joined the President, Honourable Secretary Mr.R.Chandramouli, TNCA Apex Committee Members Mr.Manoharan and Mr.G Manikandan and Mr PS Rajan and CDCA Vice Presidents Mr.R.M.Narayananan, Mr. Sundar Ramakrishnan, Mr.TKR Dinesh to distribute prizes for champion teams and individuals.

Following the prize winning teams, best performing batters, bowlers and wicket keepers in league tournaments were awarded. Recognitions were bestowed upon individuals who represented the state teams and delivered commendable performances. The officials, markers and groundstaff were also recognised for their invaluable support.
Mr.R.Chandramouli, Honorary Secretary, CDCA proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mr.K.Mahalingam, Honorary Joint Secretary, CDCA, Mr.S.Suresh Kumar, Honorary Joint Secretary, CDCA and Mr.N.Soundararajan, Treasurer, CDCA made the necessary arrangements.
