At least 21 people were killed and more than 70 others sustained serious injuries in a major train accident in Spain, according to reports.
The incident occurred when a high-speed train travelling from Malaga to Madrid derailed near Adamuz and collided with an oncoming train. The impact of the collision caused extensive damage to both trains, leading to heavy casualties.
Emergency services rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations, evacuating the injured to nearby hospitals. Several of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the derailment and collision, while rail services in the affected section have been temporarily suspended.
