In an exciting high-scoring clash in the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets on Sunday.
Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a strong total of 220/4 in 20 overs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored an impressive 67 runs, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi added 51 runs. Rinku Singh contributed 33 runs towards the end.
Chasing a target of 221, Mumbai Indians got off to a flying start with a massive 148-run opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton.
Rohit Sharma scored a quick 78 off 38 balls, hitting 6 fours and 6 sixes. Rickelton played a match-winning knock of 81 runs off 43 balls, including 8 sixes.
Although wickets fell in the middle overs, including Suryakumar Yadav (16) and Tilak Varma (20), captain Hardik Pandya (18*) and Naman Dhir (5*) guided Mumbai Indians to victory in 19.1 overs.
For Kolkata, Vaibhav Arora, Kartik Tyagi, and Sunil Narine picked up one wicket each.
