The United Arab Emirates defeated Canada by five wickets in their T20 World Cup match.

In the ICC T20 World Cup clash held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on February 13, Canada batted first and scored 150/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Harsh Thaker was the top scorer for Canada with a half-century, scoring 50 runs off 41 balls, including two boundaries and three sixes. Navneet Dhaliwal added 34 runs, while Shreyas Mova scored 21 runs.

For UAE, Junaid Siddique delivered a brilliant bowling performance, claiming five wickets, while Muhammad Jawadullah took one wicket.

Chasing a target of 151, UAE reached the total in 19.4 overs to win by five wickets.

Aryansh Sharma and Sohail Khan played outstanding knocks, both scoring half-centuries. Aryansh Sharma remained unbeaten on 74 off 53 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes. Sohail Khan scored 51 off 29 balls, including four boundaries and four sixes.

Other batters fell for single-digit scores, but the strong partnership between Aryansh Sharma and Sohail Khan guided UAE to victory.

For Canada, Saad Bin Zafar bowled impressively, taking three wickets for just 14 runs in four overs. Kaleem Sana and Jaskaran Singh picked up one wicket each.

Junaid Siddique was named Player of the Match for his outstanding five-wicket haul.
