Rotary Club of Coimbatore organised INK TO IMPACT, an Evening with the renowned writers and novelists on Thursday, 08 January 2026 at Paul Harris Hall, Chamber Towers from 06.30 PM to 07.30 PM. In the deeply enriching and impactful literary engagement, the club brought together four distinguished authors, each celebrated for their unique voice and wider contributions beyond the written word.
The first to be honoured was Mr. Kulpreet Yadav, a prolific author, actor and former Naval officer, whose powerful storytelling is shaped by courage, discipline and experience. He has also appeared in films and web series and believes in bringing depth and authenticity to both literature and screen. The second recepient was Mr. Akshay Sharma, author, actor and founder of Mark-Fly Publishers, with a strong global literary vision. He also created the Coimbatore Literary Awards and is an invited speaker for young audiences. The third recepient, Mr. Deepak Tater Jain is the founder of Twell Magazine and State Secretary, Tamil Nadu International Human Rights Association, known for purpose-driven writing. The quartet of recepients was completed by Dr. Anitha Chakravarthy Sriram, an accomplished author and doctor, whose writings seamlessly blend mythology and the modern world.
Rotary Club of Coimbatore, the oldest Rotary Club in Coimbatore with a rich legacy of 83 years bestowed the title WORDSMITH on all four authors, in recognition of their mastery over language and their ability to transform ideas into meaningful, publishable expression. The authors had a brief interaction with a lively audience that included members and officers of Rotary Club of Coimbatore, members of the Coimbatore Book Club, English literature scholars from Nirmala College, PSGR Krishnammal College, Bishop Appasamy College, KPR College of Arts and Science, Avinashilingam University, Bharathiar University, Happy Valley Business School and several aspiring authors.
Rtn.Dr.Chitra Manohar, President, Rotary Club of Coimbatore welcomed the gathering and bestowed the awards to the recepients. Rtn.Dr.Bina, Secretary, Rotary Club of Coimbatore proposed the Vote of Thanks. Overall, the evening stood out as a meaningful initiative that encouraged writers and thereby augumented the public image of Rotary as an organisation that celebrates people creating positive impact.
