“We Are Ready to Play Pakistan” – Suryakumar Yadav

India captain Suryakumar Yadav has said that the Indian team is fully prepared to play against Pakistan in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup, featuring 20 teams, will be held from the 7th until March 8 across India and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh was originally placed in Group C, but the team was removed from the tournament after refusing to travel to India due to security concerns. Scotland was later added as the replacement team.

In protest and in support of Bangladesh, Pakistan reportedly decided to boycott only the match against India, stating that they would play in Sri Lanka but not against India.

Responding to the situation, Suryakumar Yadav told reporters, “We never said we would not play Pakistan. They were the ones who said they would not play against India. The ICC has scheduled the tournament, and we are ready to play Pakistan. Our tickets are booked, and after Delhi we will travel to Colombo.”

His remarks underline India’s readiness to participate fully in the tournament as scheduled, while fans continue to watch developments around the much-anticipated India–Pakistan clash.
