From January 9 to January 12, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the Delta region and North Tamil Nadu. A low-pressure system formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to gradually intensify into a depression and move towards Sri Lanka, bringing heavy rainfall especially to the Delta districts.
Farmers in the Delta region are requested to complete their harvesting activities by January 9, keeping this weather condition in mind.
As far as the Kongu region is concerned, heavy rain is expected only in a few places near the hilly areas. In Coimbatore city and other Kongu plains, from January 9 onwards, the sky will remain cloudy, with occasional light to moderate rainfall.
